DJ Khalil invited me to this session and we worked together with Ledisi and Sam Barsh. Ledisi said she wanted to do a reggae song. I love reggae and have probably listened to the Wailers more than I've listened to anything. I came up with most of the music and played bass, guitar and sax on the song. We all worked together on the lyrics and the melody. Sam came up with the line about "rocket love is pocket love," which is a very Sam kind of line and worked for the song. Watching Ledisi sing was amazing.
