Dan Seeff is an electric and upright bassist, guitarist, writer and producer who has been featured on over 60 albums including Grammy- winning and multi-platinum selling albums and has co-written two chart-topping hit songs. He is also the creator and host of the weekly hip-hop and jazz radio show ExcursionsRadio on KJazz 88.1 FM and the West Coast Director of the Herbie Hancock Institute of Jazz. Through his work with Grammy-winning producer DJ Khalil, he has played bass and guitar and written music on albums including the chart-topping and Grammy-nominated World Music Radio by Jon Batiste, Lift Your Spirit by Aloe Blacc, the Grammy-winning Recovery by Enimem, the Grammy-nominated Malibu by Anderson. Paak, the Grammy-winning Donda by Kanye West, and Let Love Rule by Ledisi. He has toured internationally and performed at major venues and on the Jimmy Kimmel Show and Lopez Tonight. He has also worked with numerous hip-hop producers including DJ Muggs and Hi-Tek. Seeff’s music has been featured on TV shows such as Shameless and Extra and in the films Bright, Brick Mansions, Hot Tub Time Machine, and the Golden Globe-winning and Oscar-winning Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.
